2008 North American Laverda Owners Club Rally
We are excited to announce that the 2008 North American Laverda Owners Club (NALOC) Rally will be held from July 25 – 27 at the Mid-Ohio Race Track in Lexington, OH during the annual AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days. The Rally is open to all those who enjoy and appreciate the magnificent motorcycles of Moto- Laverda. Whether one is able to bring a Laverda to the Rally or not, all are welcome.
We will have on hand many of the persons significant to the history of the Laverda motorcycle in North America. In the Laverda marquee tent, we will have examples of Laverda motorcycles representing virtually every major model produced by the Breganze and Zane factories. From Italy, the V6 endurance racer and a works triple racer will make their first appearance on North American soil. Also, one of the three existing 500cc Bol D’Or works racers will be present.
There will be seminars on the History of Moto-Laverda, a Laverda bike show, daily Laverda Club parade laps on the track, the Saturday night NALOC banquet with awards and speakers and other surprises. And of course, attendees will have access to all of the traditional elements of VMD including other bike shows, manufacturers demo rides of new bikes, North America’s largest swap meet (about 1000 vendors), stunt shows and a full slate of AHMRA action (road racing, motocross, flat track and trials). Further info on VMD can be found at www.amadirectlink.com/vmd/2008 .
